My style is informal and witty. Some may say irreverent. But I could never be accused of writing copy which is ‘corporatey’, jargon-filled or vanilla-flavoured.
If you’re looking for a copywriter who can spout superlatives or write words with four syllables you might want to go elsewhere. I’m allergic to business bull, long words and waffle. And I have a particular loathing for the word ‘solution’. Yuk.
Keep it short and simple
I take my inspiration from Jimmy Carr, the well known philosopher/comedian who aims to say something funny in as few words as possible: “Venison’s dear, isn’t it?” Genius.
This doesn’t mean that copy should always be short. But it should get your message across in as few words as possible. This means I write in a concise, sharp, vigorous style. And I never use twenty words when six will do.
Send free stuff
I’m a specialist in SEO writing and website content writing and like all good copywriters I can write about anything: shoes, photography, fishing, interior design and aircraft. You name it and I can write about it.
I work with a range of clients from creative design agencies, SEO consultants and web developers, to multi-nationals and SMEs. But I especially like working with clients who give me free stuff.
